World Insights Competition
The world's most inclusive math competition.
Students use real-world data to explore global challenges, interpret trends and turn their findings into evidence-based recommendations.
About WIC
Real data, real questions, open to every student.
The World Insights Competition (WIC) is built around a simple idea: every student, anywhere in the world, should be able to test themselves against real data — without an entry fee, a flight or a calculator.
Teams interpret real World Data Lab datasets — youth employment in Africa, internet affordability in South Asia, water stress in the Mediterranean — and translate their findings into a short, evidence-based recommendation.
By centring the competition on real-world data rather than abstract puzzles, WIC shows students that the maths they learn in class can shape policy and business decisions.
